1. What is this .NET framework requirement?

Ans: The .NET Framework is a component of the Microsoft Windows® operating system used to build and run Windows-based applications. This framework will be a preferred runtime environment on newer versions of Windows OS starting with Windows XP and Windows 2000. The framework offers a secure environment for all Windows programs and enables easy connectivity between applications with platform-independent features.

2. Why do I need this .NET framework?

Ans: Current version of ClipboardX is build using C# and Visual C++ on a .NET framework. The framework is required to be installed on your machine in order to run this tool.

3. Do you have a version that does not need this framework?

Ans: We will soon release a pure native Windows version of ClipboardX which will make the framework requirement unnecessary. So keep checking!

4. How do I detect if I have the .NET framework on my machine already?

Ans: Click Start on your Windows desktop, select Control Panel, and then double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon. When that window appears, scroll through the list of applications. If you see Microsoft .NET Framework listed, the framework is already installed and you do not need to install it again.

5. Where can I get the .NET framework?

Ans: Where else but from the makers of .NET! You guessed it right, Microsoft. Go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/netframework/downloads/updates/default.aspx to download the framework.
